My name is Dennis. I’ve been working in tech for over 30 years. I made my first website in 1996 on AOL.

I built this site because most AI help on the internet is written for people who already love technology. That’s not who needs it most.

Why I built this

I kept watching the same thing happen. A friend, a coworker, a family member would hear about AI and get curious. They’d search for help and find a wall of jargon, hype, and “top 50 tools” listicles that assumed they already knew what a prompt was. They’d walk away thinking AI wasn’t for them.

That bothered me. Not because the information was wrong, but because it was built for the wrong audience. The people who could benefit the most from AI were the ones being left behind.

So I started AiForThe99.

What this site is really about

This is a free resource for regular people. Parents who want to save time. Job seekers who want an edge. Anyone who keeps hearing “you should use AI” but doesn’t know where to start.

Every guide on this site follows the same idea: one task, one result, plain language. You pick something you actually need help with, and we walk you through it step by step.

How I think about AI

I use AI every day for both work and home. Writing emails, planning meals, organizing projects, prepping for meetings, helping my kids with school stuff. It’s not a novelty for me. It’s more like having a second brain that’s always available.

That’s the perspective behind everything on this site. AI isn’t a shiny gadget. It’s a personal assistant. You talk to it, tell it what you need, and it helps. The more you use it, the more natural it feels.

I’m not here to sell you on AI or convince you it will change the world. I just want to help you get something useful out of it today.
